Medea, composed by Elizabeth Swados and directed by Zishan Ugurlu, is a hybrid re-imagining of La MaMa’s 1972 Medea, originally directed by Andrei Serban combining ancient tongues. This iteration of Medea seeks to create harmony between technology and the raw experience of the tragedy and delves into the current global refugee crisis.
