Join EstroGenius in our collaboration with Great Jones Rep and La Mama offering an inside look at the creation of MEDEA, Performed with Great Jones Repertory Company,  Conceived and Directed by Zishan Ugurlu.

Medea is part of La MaMa’s Great Jones Repertory Company’s Humanismo Project: Ancient Futures Series. Medea, composed by Elizabeth Swados and directed by Zishan Ugurlu, is a hybrid re-imagining of La MaMa’s 1972 Medea, originally directed by Andrei Serban combining ancient tongues. This iteration of Medea seeks  to create harmony between technology and the raw experience of the tragedy and delves into the current global refugee crisis.
